10:46 AM ET 12.16 | Matt Corrente just can't seem to stay healthy. Albany Devils general manager Chris Lamoriello announced today that the 24-year-old defenseman underwent successful surgery on his shoulder surgery Friday and is expected to miss the remainder of the season. Corrente, the Devils' 2006 first-round pick, was injured in last Sunday's game against the Connecticut Whale in Hartford. Corrente had played in only 11 of Albany's first 20 games, registering no goals, two assists and 32 penalty minutes.

It would probably help if somebody hadn't stapled his head to his shoulder pads.

If hockey ever comes back the Devils will certainly miss his 6 career points.

Lucky for this guy he'll be missing the season along with everyone else...

And who is this guy?

I live in NJ - loosely follow the Devils and I've never heard of this 24 Year old 1st Round Pick from 6 years ago.

Nard Dog probably couldnt even remember him lol.

1st round bust. Was projected to be a late 2nd round pick. Played left wing 2 years ago when he had his cup of coffee in the NHL. The lockout doesn't matter to him as he has an AHL contract. Won't be with the team probably anymore. To many good AHL dmen that have passed him in the depth chart.
