03:21 PM ET 12.16 | Andrew Luck is probably not going to become besties with Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, so don't expect him to give any "Brett Favre gift sacks" today or when they meet again in Week 17. That's only if Luck is still standing. Watt added two more sacks to his 2012 total in the first half on Sunday in their meeting against the Indianapolis Colts, bringing him up to 18.5 on the year. That ties Watt with four others for 15th most in a single season with two-and-a-half games to go. Unbelievably, he still trails fellow second-year pro Aldon Smith, who has 19.5 on the year with three games left.

It's not often you see a 3-4 defensive end putting up these kinds of numbers.

Actually...

Even the great Bruce Smith never registered as many sacks as JJ Watt in a single-season.

Bruce Smith's best single-season sack total was 19.0
After today's game JJ Watt is at 19.5, and he still has two games left.
