07:49 AM ET 12.17 | Despite winning the coin toss, overtime was cruel to the Steelers on Sunday against the Cowboys. [Ben Roethlisberger] didn't question the effort or heart of a team that generally finishes strong but now has lost four of five. However, for the first time, he openly questioned Todd Haley's play calls. Asked why [Heath Miller] (seven catches, 92 yards) didn't see the ball late, he said, "I don't think we called the right plays to get him the ball." He also said it was "disappointing" to get out of the no-huddle that was working. And he also said he and Miller improvised on their 30-yard touchdown pass in the final minute of the first half because, "The play that was called wasn't a good play at all against a prevent defense. So we made up a play."

Ben has a right to be pissed after Todd Haley threw that pick in OT. Oh, wait ...

Peyton calls his own plays (hint, hint) and doesn't dis on the OC...take control, dude. You've earned the right.

December 17, 2012  08:05 AM ET

Yeah that's why Ben wants to go no huddle all the time. We'll have to see how this shakes out

Did a Dallas bookie get to Antonio Brown? Fumbling one punt and then letting the next punt roll an extra fifteen or twenty yards did not contribute to the cause. There was plenty of blame to go around.

Ben is an instinctual QB that can scramble and extend plays. If he can read the D properly, then he should be given control.

Definitely. If he didn't have the talent level he does, he would have been benched for he poor ball handling.

Where's Hines Ward? He's not as as Fast, but he's smart, has the moves and catches the ball, they call that too old!!!

Sadly, the Steelers are done! Get your forks out.

Add in the O line that allowed back to back sacks when they were almost in FG range, Ben's Neil O'Donnell (spit) imitation in OT, generally uninspired play on both sides of the ball, and you put another check in the LOSE column....

The play that was called wasn't a good play at all against a prevent defense. So we made up a play.

I think there's a term for that. It's called an audible.

December 17, 2012  08:47 AM ET

Hey Ben, regardless of the play calling, you MIGHT want to throw the ball to your guy ... not behind him to the guy wearing a different color jersey.

'And my OL/Dallas pass rush will give me almost 10 seconds to find you, on 2 BREAK!'

Exactly! Haley didn't throw that pass to the wrong shoulder of Wallace, BEN DID!!!

The next Steelers themed T&R will be " Steelers call in Rod Woodson for a workout, believe he can still GO......
