07:51 AM ET 12.17 | In Toronto, someone had to step up, and that someone has become, at least for now, Jose Calderon. With Calderon's steady hand on the tiller -- 18 points, 14 assists, 10 rebounds and nary a turnover in nearly 37 minutes -- the Raptors won their second game in a row on Sunday, pulling out a 103-96 victory over the Houston Rockets, as significant a win as they've had this year. In a post-game interview, Calderon alluded to wanting to be the most professional player in the game, the definition is clear. "I made up my mind, I want to be the guy, I'm here, this is my team," said the eight-year vet. ... "I want to win with this team until somebody says something different, it doesn't matter how long I'm on the court."

Bargnani said " Raptors is the worst team in the NBA."
But Raptors won 2 in a row without him.....

Jose buddy you guys are SUPPOSED TO LOSE. Seriously, demand a trade today!
But I saw the highlights, guy looked fierce yesterday. I think Bargnani really PO'ed the entire team off.

There is a quote from the movie On the Waterfront. Lee J. Cobb says it. It could apply to the Raptors and Calderon's statement. "You want it! You can have it".

Every point gaurd should have that mentality. I hope Bargani doesn't see this as a knock on his leadership but rather use it as inspiration to step up his team play and defensive effort.

They can have him...he's a worse defender than Nash and that's saying a lot.

Says a lot.
Winning is a lot easier when you don't have one of your two bigs at the top of the key shooting three (and missing a lot lately), and not getting any rebounds.

True.
However, he is an unselfish PG that plays the way one should offensively; passing is his first option, not shooting.

On a side note;
Glad to see I haven't read any ignorant comments about how "Toronto should leave Canada and come to some (P.O.S. back-water, hillbilly) city in the states with no way to economically maintain a team, let alone achieve some type of mediocre success.
...but I'll wait, I'm sure those comments will be posted.
