07:54 AM ET 12.17 | While those close to him insist he'll snap out of his slump, Deron Williams isn't quite sure what to think. "I think it's mostly mental with me. It's become mental," Williams said recently. "I've tried getting up extra shots, I've tried not shooting so I don't think about it. I tried shooting before games, not shooting before games, so I hopefully I snap out of it." Williams' offensive stats are down across the board this season -- 17 points per game, 8.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 38.8 shooting percentage. ... [We're] now nearly two years into the Nets of the Williams era, and Williams hasn't been the same player since he and Jerry Sloan were running the pick-and-roll offense with the Jazz.

It's not mental, you just lack the skills.

1Here's what we do know.....Williams, Johnson, and the Nets talk a lot. Their name rhymes with Jets and Mets, both of whom also do a lotta talking and never backing it up as well. I really found it amusing that you had all these morons on this site tellin the Knicks faithful how the Knicks would be struggling just to be a five seed by the division winners and second seed in the east, Nets! Let me tell ya, I almost can't contain my laughter at this assertion. You genies sound real swell with all your demented predictions, Love, Kidd the 39 year old 1st time League MVP, lol! Apple

QUOTE(#8):

It would have been interesting seeing him team up with Howard.

Sorry MMA, 2 over-rated NBA players.
Now I think I'll run and hide :)

Wow, maybe the clown will realize at some point he's not all that. His success came because he was with a solid team in a solid structure. He's much like a lot of NBA players . . . delusional!!

He's fine, just need to learn how to play with a team that he isn't the only player on the team that can carry the load.
