Hamilton's wife 'so glad' about split from Rangers

07:57 AM ET 12.17 | At her husband's introductory news conference with the Angels over the weekend, Katie Hamilton took issue with the Rangers handling of negotiations as the former MVP hit the open market. Katie Hamilton compared the relationship between her husband and the Rangers to dating. She said the club should have quickly moved to prevent Josh Hamilton from hitting the free-agent market. "They let us go out and date other people and kind of give our hearts away," Katie Hamilton said. "I'm so glad they didn't (push hard to re-sign Hamilton.)" ... The Rangers and Hamilton's agent, Mike Moye, tabled talks on an extension after he had his second setback in four years in the fight against alcohol and drug addiction.

Reporters should had ask her if she was running the Rangers would you go out on the limb with Hamilton and give him a 5 year contract instead of a 3 knowing his history with alcohol and drug abuse. Next question to her would have been how much more to you need to help raise your family.
