Tigers ready to deal Porcello

07:58 AM ET 12.17 | With the moves the two teams have made recently, might the Angels and Tigers find common trade ground? In the wake of the two big free-agent signings at the end of the week, the Angels have been in contact with the Tigers about Rick Porcello, according to sources. ... The Angels are far from the only team to show interest in Porcello, a soon-to-be 24-year-old right-hander whom the Tigers are now very likely to trade. The Rangers also like Porcello, asking about him even before the Tigers signed [Anibal Sanchez]. The Rangers certainly wouldn't trade either of their two shortstops (Elvis Andrus or Jurrickson Profar) for Porcello but could tempt the Tigers with other players. The Phillies have been interested, but they addressed a hole in their rotation on Saturday.

They should have jumped on Dickey!!!

The Tigers might ought to contract the team across the border from them since they are trading away their future to try and win now.

That's what I keep telling my wife!!!

If you have to keep telling her, it's obviously something she doesn't want to do.

Trade him to the NL to a team with a good infield defense, which he obviously doesn't have in Detroit. Cincy, with Votto, Phillips and the young SS would be a good fit for Porcello's sinkerball.

Kids got high quality major league pitches , but a AA head , goes into panic mode real easy and hits the choke button. Has a high fear of failing . If he he could just get past mental part.

The TIGERS still need a second baseman and a shortstop.

They are fine at second base, Infante is a career .275 hitter who hit .274 and his glove is solid. SS yes they need to upgrade their, but SS is a tough place to improve unless the solution is internal but they don't have any answers in Toledo or Erie.

Hold on to him until the trade deadline next summer, at very least. You can never have too much pitching, and you want to sell when teams are willing to give up the most.

Sinkerballer? Try Colorado.

Philly would be a good fit for Porcello. San Diego too.

the tigers could ask the angels about AYBAR for porcello,, who knows?? things would be looking interesting,,,

Decent move. Ground ball pitcher on a team with a terrible defense, could be good for the Angels.

....porcello will be a good 5th starter in texas....

if the rangers want him, shouldn't be any problem at all,the cost for this pitcher could be less than the rangers think!!
