08:05 AM ET 12.17 | The professional career of Cam Barker, a former No. 3 overall pick who has played in Chicago, Minnesota and Edmonton -- continues to head in the wrong direction. [Barker's] time with the AHL Texas Stars is at an end. The Dallas Stars' minor league affiliate has cut the former third overall pick loose from his professional tryout contract. Barker had signed a 25-game agreement with the Stars and the team opted to sever ties with him after that time was up. In his time with Texas, Barker played in 23 games and put up eight points (3 goals, 5 assists). With the number of defensive prospects the Stars were working into their lineup (Brenden Dillon, Jamie Oleksiak, Jordie Benn), Barker wound up being a healthy scratch on at least one occasion.

2004 was such an awful draft. After the first two, just garbage.

And considering how amazing the 2003 and 2005 drafts were....yeah, one year that I really didn't mind that the Leafs traded away their first rounder.

Around these parts the cheese, potato and bacon combo is king.
My dad's fave are blueberry perogies while I favor sauerkraut and bacon.

As a Minnesotan I'll never get over this: we gave up Nick Leddy so that Cam could come stink it up around here.
