07:33 PM ET 12.17 | The Cowboys' old-school showdown with the Steelers on Sunday was full of moments that made us all shout. But one moment in particular occurred not on the field but on the sidelines. A week after killing his best friend in a fiery car crash for which he was arrested and charged with manslaughter, Cowboys lineman Josh Brent was back on the Dallas sidelines chatting up teammates and cheering his team on. Everyone watching thought that this had been team approved, and the Dallas brass had invited Brent back after the mother of Jerry Brown begged people to forgive Brent for the crash that killed her son. The only catch is Jerry Jones, Jason Garrett and others high up in the Cowboys command has absolutely no idea that Brent would be present on the sidelines Sunday.

Maybe, still even that game wasn't as ugly as this last one was

Sanchez made a cutback to the backside. Isn't that okay?

Yep. Getting spanked by a really good team is one thing. Rolling around in the mud with another team that belongs in the old Mountain West Conference is another matter entirely.

Sanchez is working on a sequel to Vince Lombardi's "Run to Daylight". He's going to call it "Run to Where the Sun Don't Shine."

How does the owner and coach not know that he was going to be there?! Really, Jerry "I have my hands in everything" Jones didn't know. I get that the Mother does not want the kid to get into anymore trouble, but the fact of the matter is the DA has a responsibility to prosecute. Brent broke the law and took a life and he has to pay the consequences for his actions.
