08:05 AM ET 12.18 | Thanks to Monday's loss, for the second consecutive season, Rex Ryan and the Jets will be watching the playoffs on TV. "It's a devastating loss, out of the playoffs, and it hurts beyond belief," Ryan said. "I think the thing that really hurts the most is we've got no one to blame but ourselves." Particularly Sanchez. The embattled quarterback threw four interceptions, three in the second half, bringing his season total to 17 and fumbled on the team's final offensive play. Ryan declined to name a starting quarterback for Sunday's game with the Chargers, reviving the team's quarterback controversy. ... Who will the quarterback be? After the game, the Jets' defensive players were biting their tongues when asked about Sanchez.

toss them in a bag - shake it - pull one out - and the winner is.....

Why would you expect Ryan to suddenly wake up now to the fact that Sanchez is not a starting NFL QB?

December 18, 2012  08:21 AM ET

A quick kick on first down would catch the defense off guard. But, they'll catch on after you do it 2 or 3 times.

Don't start any quarterback. Let Shonn Greene take all the snaps in the wildcat and never throw the ball. Either he runs it or hands it off. No receivers, two tight ends and two backs plus Greene. The question is, can it really be any worse?

But do's it really matter the seasons over, Hey Rexy maybe you ought to pick up Vick when he's released , just think Vick - Tebow - Sanchez what a lethal combination at QB.

Lethal as in make you sick????

Hey....say what you will about Tebow but he was not this bad for Denver last year. He didn't turn the ball over this much.

Furthermore, I thought directing a pounding run game with a play action deep ball would fit Tebow's strengths? And if you get him wouldn't you know that he NEVER looks good in practice? Why would they get him and expect that he would suddenly look surgical in practice?

I saw Dilfer going off after the game about Tebow being around and frankly Sanchez has done nothing to deserve that job. I think if they used Tebow and played to his strengths the Jets would be in the playoff hunt right now.

Problem is (from Rex's point of view) is that if the Jets played Tebow and won he (Rex) would be the jerk who should have done this 3 months ago

Just when you think things can't get any uglier for the Jets this season there's last nights performance.
