02:49 PM ET 12.18 | Deron Williams made some pretty strong comments recently that indicated he was frustrated with Brooklyn Nets coach Avery Johnson's offense. Williams said Monday that he's still adjusting to Johnson's offense and added that the system he played in with Jerry Sloan while with the Utah Jazz was better. Johnson was asked about Williams' comments on Tuesday, and he said they didn't bother him. "No, not at all," Johnson said. "We talk about it. We have great communication. So the comments aren't surprising. And really and truly, guys, I'm 47 now turning 48. I don't take anything personal. I communicate with all my players, constant communication with Deron, [Jerry Stackhouse] and Joe [Johnson]."

I understand where it comes from looking in from the outside, but until I see/hear Jerry Sloan say it, I give Deron a pass on the Jazz stuff. Sloan is a hardline, no-nonsense coach who I don't see having an issue calling out Williams if that was the case.

Jerry Sloan would never say anything but it seems that if Williams liked the Jazz system so much why would he force a trade from them? Secondly nobody else in the NBA runs that sloan system. Or is Williams making a run for Soan to replace Johnson?

Why does he whine when they are winning. Of course, they ALL need to improve but come on. This isn't a one man show, who cares if your numbers are down D-will.

That's where we disagree. I honestly think that if Jerry Sloan had an issue with a player or something that had happened, he'd say so. He's never said anything, to my knowledge, that would lead me to believe that he had major issues with Deron Williams.

If the Jazz had won a ring with Sloan then D would have a point. Well, anyways if Pitt's Big-Ben can complain then I guess its ok?

It is easy to say he has issues with his coaches and from the outside looking in I would have to agree but what Im hearing him say is that he did not realize how good of a coach he had until he found himself with a new one. This is more of a indictment of Avery and his coaching style. Now with that being said the guy needs to suck it up and play ball. He made his choices now live with them. Its not like people did not know that Avery was hard on his PG's.

The Nets are seeing why the Hawks let ISO Joe go. He makes the offense stagnant with his dribbling exploits. Enjoy the show/ glad yall have him

I used to be a big fan of Williams until he drove Sloan to retirement. Sloan was one of the best coach active at the time (behind Jackson).
No one really appreciate things (or people) until after they are gone....

Sloan is a classy guy. He would not have brought his issues public....
