04:47 PM ET 12.18 | Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel is having one of the best seasons ever. Not only was he the first freshman awarded the Heisman Trophy and a first-team, All-American member, Manziel was named the Associated Press Player of the Year on Tuesday. Manziel collected 31 of the first-place votes and became the first freshman to win the award. Notre Dame's Manti Te'o received 15 votes.
