03:47 PM ET 12.18 | Is Nick Saban still a college football coach? If the answer is yes, there will be rumors that he's about to leave for the NFL. Hey, look! He's currently the coach at Alabama, which means NFL rumors. The Cleveland Browns are the most popular at the moment, while that Dallas Cowboys rumor really never dies despite there being nothing tangible to show for it. For what it's worth, Saban's given a semi-denial that he'll be leaving for the pros again.

If he leaves for the NFL Bama fans can't say he didn't leave them better than he found them.

To retire a legend at Bama or roll the dice once more in the pro game? Either way, when his ticket is punched, ol' Lucifer will have eternity mapped out for him.

No matter what he says, it gets taken out of context. He can say, "You know I felt like I didn't do everything I wanted to in the NFL, but we're completely happy where we are now." And the press starts screaming, "Saban feels he has unfinished business in the NFL!!! Saban will leave for the NFL!!!"
Listening to ESPN radio tonight, good grief, do people really think ESPN is on Alabama's side?, they were all completely mis-characterizing what he told Lebatard. It's really quite comical.
As for when he said he wasn't going to leave Miami for Alabama, has anyone heard that press conference? The guy asked him about 8 times. Saban said several times, "I feel like I addressed that." To which the guy would come back with, "Why can't you just say 'I'll not be the coach of Alabama next year?'"
As for the claim that the ESPN guys made that he treated his players like crap, Jason Taylor said that just is not true and refuted what Heath Evans said. Hell even Jeno James said Saban came and visited him in the hospital which made him feel very good about the coach.

LMFAO! Trust me, Saban will NOT lose to "Johnny Foozball" and the Aggies again. As for VT? NOBODY is worried about playing VT, ESPECIALLY not a team like Alabama. Right now, 'Bama is the best program in the nation, and VT continues to slide into oblivion.
Did you bump your noggin today?

I wish Saban would come to Dallas. I would see him as the 2nd coming of Jimmy Johnson - a man who knows where the college talent is. That's the only way Dallas will ever improve - if a real talent evaluator is allowed to draft players.

There is a kind of cult worship thing going on down there. I pick it up when I listen to Finebaum on XM everyday.

Yah, VT had a rough year. I do think they get a lot of players back in 2013 though. That said, probably will not matter against Bama how many returning players are there for VT.

All the threads popping up about Saban returning to the NFL are getting old, too.
