03:48 PM ET 12.18 | San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Justin Smith's elbow injury might not keep him out of the team's huge NFC West battle with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, according to head coach Jim Harbaugh. Smith suffered the injury in the third quarter of the 49ers' 41-34 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday and was unable to finish the game. The 12-year veteran was scheduled to have an MRI on Monday. Harbaugh expects his starting defensive tackle to play if at all possible. "If it's humanly possible, The Cowboy [Smith] will be out there, ropin' and ridin'."

Good news for the Niners. That defense was markedly weaker against the Pats when he left the game.

Justin Smith and Logan Mankins made for an interesting matchup.

It has been 2 days and the only diagnosis is that it is in his elbow. Hurray for modern medicine, can you believe it is so costly and so slow?

The niners defense went lame without Smith, but also Brady seemed to get POed and went crazy...
