04:53 PM ET 12.18 | Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Josh Brent became the topic of discussion on Sunday when he was spotted on the Cowboys sideline despite facing intoxication manslaughter charges for a tragic accident that resulted in the death of his teammate Jerry Brown. While Cowboys owner Jerry Jones initially supported Brent being on the sideline, he has now decided it's in everyone's best interest for Brent to stay away. Per ESPN's Ed Werder, the NFL and the Cowboys are in agreement that Brent should no longer be present on the sideline. Brent initially made the trip to Cowboys Stadium because his teammates urged him to be present. They were following the request of Brown's mother, Stacey Jackson, who asked the team to stand behind Brent and provide him with the support he needs, despite being responsible for the death of her son.

If not, I'm sure you would.

Agreed. He should be somewhere under a rock.

Agreed. Apparently J.J. and Garrett did not know Brent was going to be on the sideline until right before the game started. I'm sure that made for a few awkward moments.

Yup . A real GM, new HC new OC and a new DC

Whoever dreamed up that idiotic idea should re-evaluate their thought process. Unintentionally or not the man's actions resulted in a person losing their life. Why would someone think it is ok to parade the guy around a football stadium with close to 100,000 people in it and a game broadcast to most of the country? It was astonishing to see him there.

This is an example of what happens when players make decisions without consulting the coach or GM.

Dude should be in a sky box... but I have no problem with him being there.

Next thing you know they'll be handing him the game ball

Why does anyone care? Two guys went out and got drunk, one ended up dead. It's not like Brent shot him in a drive by. I think everyone is being a little to sanctimonious for my liking. Plus it's not your place to judge. Don't be so nosy and just watch the game. I swear the media is a worse gossip than a bunch of old church ladies.

This was never more evident regarding the shameless media feeding frenzy of Newtown

1. Care? I don't care. But the guy's mug just showed up on my TV.
2. Sanctimonious? It's OK because he didn't shoot him? Please. Dead is dead, and he caused it. Period.
3. Not our place to judge? Drunk driving happens, and people die from it, so let it be?
4. Just watch the game? Fine, agreed. But the game needn't feature shots of a felon roaming the sidelines days after he killed someone.

Exactly.

I also find Brown's mother's reaction to all this to be "too good to be true"....she is being way too nice and it does not add up.......not saying she should be mean or dis him in public, but this nicey~nicey behavior is abnormal.

Having Brent on the Sideline is not a good Idea.

Good responses....totally agree.

Two old friends went out drinking like countless times before. Either one could have been driving and either one could be dead.
The death that occurred was accidental. No one feels worse about it than Brent. And none of you can justify kicking him while he is down. This really needn't be decided in the court of public opinion.
Sanctimonious is the right word for your posture.
