02:29 AM ET 12.19 | The Wisconsin Badgers are set to play in the Rose Bowl next month, but they're in a bit of an awkward jam. Former head coach Bret Bielema left town for the Arkansas job earlier this month, meaning that, over the Badgers' next two games they will have two different head coaches. Badger legend Barry Alvarez is going to take on coaching duties during the Rose Bowl, but after the there's a giant question mark as to who will be the coach when next season starts. We apparently have an answer as sources have told ESPN that Wisconsin will hire former Utah State head coach Gary Andersen as their new man in charge. The question now is did the Badgers make the right choice in hiring Andersen? He's hot off an 11-2 season with Utah State, but does he have what it takes to compete in the Big Ten? Pause for laughter.

Well if he's already signed his contract isn't it a little too late to be asking this question? After all he's already said goodbye to all of his former players on the next thread.

Anyone know about the excerpted Fanside report? Is the writer some smack-talking tool who was rejected by The National Review online as too sophomoric, so s/he slings her/his spiteful tripe in the sports media?
