Tim Tebow will request trade if Greg McElroy starts

03:05 AM ET 12.19 | Newsflash: the New York Jets have no idea what to do with Tim Tebow. Here's another newsflash: Tebow isn't the happiest of campers in the Big Apple. It's because of this that Tebow has privately let it be known that should Greg McElroy start the last two games of the season for the Jets, he'll be politely asking for either a trade or a release. It's the absolute least surprising news in the history of news. The more interesting thing is that the NFL is wearing down Tim Tebow. Back in Denver he was the shy kid who wouldn't speak ill of anybody and was pretty much willing to give the starting job back to Kyle Otron; he even seemed to feel bad that he stole the job from him. But in New York, the abuse of Tebow's value (love him or hate him, it exists) has forced Tebow into a corner where he has to, well, be a normal person. Tim Tebow is complaining. That's actually a borderline newsflash

Staying with Sanchez as the starter through week 15 is just a terrible decision by the Head Coach and JETS organization as a whole.... a waste of the team's season IMO.

Really? Asking to be traded or released under these circumstances is complaining??? Obviously Mr Tebow is judged under a different set of rules than the rest of us, cause if my assistant got promoted to be my boss you would know what complaining looked and sounded like!!!

The Jets never gave him a chance to recapture the magic of his time in Denver. I love the Tebow the man, but never sold on Tebow the QB. It would be nice to see if Denver was a fluke or if he is a pure leader and winner that can get the best out of his team. I think that is what the Jets need.

And I wonder how Tebow feels about the Jets going to go after Vick at the end of the season and trading Sanchez - but who would want Sanchez or whats he worth?

QUOTE(#5):

Sanchez needs a fresh start. A decent group of receivers and a consistent offensive scheme will help him. The guy has had a new OC every year in the league, right? jeez.Tebow has every right to complain. Let the guy go. He deserves at least that much.

Yeah then he can be the 3rd string 3rd basement for the Mets 3rd farm team...the A-Team!

You get a promotion?

Sanchez might be ruined beyond repair. Too many years of coaching abuse and revolving offensive coordinators. Tebow on the other hand could still have a little life if he could get some place where he wasn't mocked by his own coach. Ryan should never be a head coach again.

I'm shocked. Shocked. This guy still thinks he's a QB. Hey Timmy boy! If youi were good you would be playing and Sanchez would have been traded by now. No one will want you other than as a freak show addition to sell tickets. I hear the Jags aren't selling out so maybe you can play backup qb there and sell peanuts when the defense is on the field, which is often in Jax.

Actually they did during practice and little bits of information leaked from the players themselves that he absolutely stunk in practice, so bad they decided he couldn't play in real games. The guy just can throw a football accurately.

I'm not caught up in Tebowmania, but Ryan is throwing him under the bus, excessively......watch Ryan trying to explain it and he doesn't seem to be able to look anyone in the eye......is that because he is lying....<sarcasm>.

I refuse to judge Tebow as a QB. My take on it if Ryan was told to get him. Then decided to do what he could to make him look bad and sit him. Going into a game and getting 3 snaps and get pulled is not an attempt to see what you can do.

Maybe Tebow should ask Jesus Christ for a trade.

Agreed I'm not a Tebow fan, but his behavior has been better than the Jets coaching staff or front office. Sanchez has also done pretty well (behavior wise) and should also be demanding a trade to a real football team.
