04:02 PM ET 12.19 | Lavon Hooks, a four-star JUCO defensive tackle recruit, was supposed to announce his college decision Monday afternoon. Then he was supposed to announce Monday night. Then Wednesday afternoon. That appointed time came and went as well. Now Ole Miss, Washington and his other suitors will keep waiting even longer, as the announcement is off for the time being. Recruiting!

Auburn is making a strong push for Hooks but from what I hear he is leaning Ole Miss. Will have to wait and see what happens.

This one smells like potential trouble, just from the indecision aspect of it. If he were a HS Sr, I could see it, but a Juco ought to be a little bit better about it.

Would be nice if the colleges would say, "see you later" and let these kids go and have to ask to come back....

December 19, 2012  07:50 PM ET

or better yet, "sorry kid, that window has closed. good luck."

Most of those schools have scholarships that they can give that count toward 2012 , especially Ole Mess. They will wait on him if they feel he's worth it. Listening to a local show, I heard that a lot of suitors entered the picture very late on this kid, so he wants to give the new offers more consideration.

Yes. His ticket is fitting into unfilled 2012 slots.
