In addition to likely parting ways with Tim Tebow in the offseason, the New York Jets are mulling whether to eat more than $8 million in order to cut or trade fellow quarterback Mark Sanchez, according to two sources familiar with the circumstances. The team's obvious preference is to get something for Tebow through a trade, but that may be difficult considering how little he has played and the fact that he has now been bypassed by third-stringer Greg McElroy, who will start for New York (6-8) this Sunday against the San Diego Chargers. "You'd think that they'd want to showcase [Tebow] just a little if they want to deal him," one of the sources said. "Do something to increase his value."

Pursuing Mike Vick will depend on what the coach and GM decide is in the best interest of the team. Right now it's a safe bet that at least one of them will get fired after the season ends.

I can see why Ryan likes him - Vick has a career completion %age of 56%, rating of 80.7, 81 ints, 85 fumbles to 156 TDs (pass and run). So he is like an older more fragile Sanchez.

Usually the problem is to find a way to keep a guy, to make room for him money wise. The Jets are spending their time trying to find a way to get rid of two guys. Makes you think whoever made those decisions (Sanchez contract) (Tebow trade) should be kicked to the curb. Unless that someone was Woody.

I don't expect The R to get injured too often. He learns from his mistakes, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't like sitting on the bench while Cousins produces. But still... Yes... He's GREAT Insurance, especially if we go to the p.. p.... Playoffs ? Playoffs ?? PLAYOFFS!!!
