08:21 AM ET 12.20 | While USC will likely have some impact on the final rankings, Georgia is poised for a big finish on the recruiting front. If you are just considering five-star prospects, there is no program in better position than the Bulldogs. ... [The class] could end up being the best on paper that Mark Richt has signed during his career at UGA. The nation's top offensive tackle prospect, five-star Laremy Tunsil and the nation's top defensive tackle prospect, five-star Montravius Adams, could fall Georgia's way, as well as the top inside linebacker prospect, five-star Reuben Foster. ... [Four-star running back Alvin Kamara] also should be considered a lean to the Bulldogs. Should all of these head to Athens, UGA could contend for the nation's top class honors.

But it sure sounds like there's nothing signed on a dotted line, for ANY of these guys, is that right? Seems mighty dam premature if so.

Boom hasn't done too badly for himself this year, so CMR sure needs to do well to keep up.

They have 3 enrolling early (I think that is what it means), and 27 verbals right now. If these 4 drop their way, that will be 34 commits for 2013?

Alabama's biggest class was 32 in 2008. And yet, we get criticized for it. :(

Maybe....maybe not. I remember when The Great Pumpkin signed the #1 class. It was the beginning of the end for him.

Dangerous...get that kind of class/publicity & don't win, your job is in jeapordy, Unless your name is Mack Brown.

It's only a matter of time. The answers will follow in the days and weeks to come.

Hogwash. We will still pull the best class, despite it being only 18 deep.

Some folks do rip Richt for "underachieving," given his recruiting prowess, but the Dawgs performance in this year's SEC CG should quiet most for a time. Few SEC teams have shown the will and ability to go toe to toe with Bama, and now UGA may be counted among them. What remains is to defeat Saban's Bama teams. For the good of the SEC and CFB in general, there needs to be challengers with a 50-50 chance of winning their games against Bama.

Because CMR isnt know for PROCESSING players...

Overblown.

When we have players transfer, it's called processing. When other teams have players transfer, it's "wow, that's great for the kid, if he wants to go somewhere where he'll get more playing time."
