Sparano on his way out?

08:03 AM ET 12.21 | To some degree, Rex Ryan defended Jets offensive coordinator Tony Sparano on Thursday. Ryan, however, wouldn't get into Sparano's prospects for staying with the team. "I think with any situation, whether it's staff or whatever, you know the policy of this organization is not to discuss those things until the appropriate time," Ryan said. One of Sparano's strengths was supposed to be the Wildcat formation, which has not been a success this season. Sparano, however, doesn't exactly see it that way. "I wouldn't use the word(s) 'didn't work,'" the offensive coordinator said. ... [A] few hours earlier Ryan had said the Wildcat "hasn't worked out." Ryan did say that the offensive line play has improved under Sparano, as has the running game.

Sparano and his idiotic wildcat are so done. I'll say he's out and Norv Turner is in. The "secret negotiations" with NT will start soon after the Jets/Chargers game is over.

Who ISN'T on their way out on that team?

It's nice idea, but after Rex's earlier comments that he would have already won a Super Bowl with Norv's team, I can't imagine that Norv would be in a hurry to work for Rex.

Rex is still just a DC at heart who thinks offenses lose games.

Line up people, there is enough Kool-Aid for everybody!

It doesn't matter who the coaches are at this point, the Jets roster has very little talent and those that can play have no character.

I thought Rex drank the whole pitcher.

Rex, Tony, Mike, Mark, Tim. All have to go. You've got to cut deep to remove all of the cancer.

I wouldn't use the words that the Jets plan didn't work out, I would just say that it hasn't worked out..Or to be precise, they didn't not suuucckk.

The thing is, the Jets barely ran the Wildcat at all this year and most Tebow plays I saw were a draw... Atleast there were no O-linemen's backsides in his way.

They ran the wildcat more often (and more effectively) 2 years ago with Brad Smith.

Sporano might not be the answer - but he's not the biggest problem on this team.

God only knows what they were thinking hiring him. Did anyone in that organization happen to notice that Miami team the last few years? You know, the Dolphins? Play them twice a year, remember? You want any of what they got? Everyone in Miami thought it was an April Fools joke when the Jets hired Sporano. And yes, the Jets do have many problems, but Tony won't be solving them. Get serious.
