12:41 PM ET 12.21 | Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman will travel to New York and be present at his appeals hearing at the NFL's league offices, according to a report by ESPN.com's Ed Werder. The NFL will not make a decision on Sherman, who faces a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy, until next week, according to the report. Multiple outlets have reported the drug Sherman took that violated league rules was Adderall, a psychostimulant drug that is prescribed by doctors to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy

yes but by then Browner will be back and if they had had neither the Vikes or Bears might have passed them and the playoffs would have been moot

Well since they don't deserve one of their wins maybe that's as it should be.

numerous players have served 4 game suspensions this year for the same infraction. What is there to meet about? you don't change the rules now.

This was the guy who was talking junk to Tom Brady's face after the Pats-Seahawks game... I bet a few Pats fans are hitting him up on Twitter over this.

He takes that stuff so he'll stay awake through those dreaded pregame talks. These guys get hooked on the weirdest junk.

The NFL thought it would be in their best interest to let Sherman play. You see if he plays there is more attention brought to a PRIME TIME GAME, not that he is that good but because without him the 49ers would pass with ease against a Seattle secondary. It is all about money.

You are exactly right 50 YEAR, it is a slam dunk decision. He tested positive, just like his teammate Browner who is serving his suspenion, If both had started serving their suspensions at the same time, Seattle would have lost a game along the way and you would not have this match up in PRIME TIME. How coincidental that the NFL allowed the Seahawks to keep one of their 2 starters on the field at all times. Who knows the NFL may just say something like; We are going to allow Sherman to playout the season and playoffs but he will have to do his time next season, and to show even more favoritism we are going to allow him to serve those suspended games during preseason.

Seattle was given that game due to bad officiating.

Seattle will be one and done if they are a wild card. If that is the case he would also have to be suspended nest season for 2 games.

If anyone ever asks if the NFL plays favoriteism, the answer is yes. This was a slam dunk decision 2 weeks ago and the NFL should have never allowed the appeal.

Now the NFL will have to decide before next week, when Seattle plays St.Louis. Can or will the NFL make a decision by then ? Maybe someone should ask them what took so long?

Is there any money in it for Goody ?

Nope... just a cheater. I guess we'll never know if he could back up his smack talk if he wasn't cheating. That doesn't necessarily work in his favor.
