Which head coaches won't survive an NFL apocalypse?

07:05 PM ET 12.21 | Well, we made it; we survived the apocalypse. Despite scientific fact that the world won't actually end for another 5 billion years, the crazies in the tin hats have gotten us all riled up once again. It's Dec. 22 in Australia at the moment, thusly proving that the Mayan calendar stuff was all a bunch of needless worrying by people that skipped their meds. But while it may not be the end of humanity, there is still an armageddon on the horizon, because as we march closer to the end of the season, the line for the NFL coaching gallows is getting longer by the minute. Who will survive the coaching and front office apocalypse and who will fall victim? From obvious firings ahead like Norv Turner and Pat Shurmur, to more hazy calls like Lovie Smith and Jason Garrett (who both have time to save what's left of their jobs), humanity may have survived the apocalypse but as many as three NFL coaches won't.

I think Allen gets another year...Not fair to judge him until he's had a chance to coach after the housecleaning is complete...and it's not yet complete.

Someone mentioned in an earlier thread that Bidwill is too frugal to fire a head coach and pay his $5.5 million salary. We'll soon see.

Excellent point. What's another season of mediocrity (at best) for the Bidwells if it saves them a few bucks?
