08:54 AM ET 12.22 | Michael Vick doesn't want to be the Jets' next Tim Tebow. The Daily News reported Thursday that Vick, the benched Eagles quarterback, would be amenable to joining the Jets this offseason if Mark Sanchez is out of the equation, and Vick made clear on Friday that wherever he plays, he intends to start. "I'm not a backup," Vick told phillymag.com. "Just being honest, just being candid. I'm a full-fledged starter. . . . That's what I've got in me, that's what I provide, that's what I offer."

I think there are a few character flaws that will prevent that from happening.

Vick doesn't realize that he already IS a version of Tebow: a running QB with poor passing ability and ball control issues that few, if any, teams are going to want next year.

Translation: I do not want to compete for a job. I want it given to me and I want to be paid like a top NFL QB.

What came first, the Tebow or the Vick?

Questionable skills, advancing age, declining health, ingrained gang banger attitude, felony record, and despised by the public in general. Yea that's a model for success.

Raiders?

The Jets should top every QB's no trade list until they get an overhaul. Even the coaches are starting to run.

I am sure that NFL teams are just drooling to sign the NFL leader in fumbles and injuries.

I think it's time for Tebow to invest in a huge tent and a white suit....and maybe a wife who puts on makeup with an airless paint sprayer.

If Michael Vick goes to the Jets he might get Tebowed.

Well, it seems he realizes he cannot beat out Foles for the job in Philly. I heartily agree.

A couple of years ago the Bills were interested in him. For their sake, I hope that interest has waned.

He might as well howl at the moon, I don't see Vick playing next season.

Good point and Vick is one "concussion" from being in an assisted living complex!!!!
