09:38 AM ET 12.22 | The Jets may be in the market for three new coordinators after this season. Defensive coordinator Mike Pettine turned down a contract extension from the team several months ago, according to a source, meaning he could depart after the season ends. It could be an active offseason for the Jets staff. Offensive coordinator Tony Sparano is on thin ice after a dismal season and longtime special teams coordinator Mike Westhoff has said he will retire at the end of the year. Pettine came to the Jets in 2009 with Rex Ryan from the Ravens. He has overseen a defense that has finished No. 1, 3, 5 in the NFL and is currently ranked No. 8.

Those are good rankings he'll land somewhere. It's not his fault young Sanchez can't hit his WRs

Keep the coaching staff and get rid of Ryan. He's now recruiting players from Youtube!

Good rankings but Rex Ryan ultimately runs the defense.

I'd still have reservations on Mike Pettine's ability to run a defense for an offensive-minded head coach.

He'll probably go back to Baltimore, they have slipped a ton defensively.

Crazy mess in NY, he is a smart man in leaving the Jets.

I think the interns at FN have the same fixation for the Jets as AIYK does for Tebow.
