09:44 AM ET 12.22 | The Cameron Crazies are excited, everyone else is just plain crazy. No. 2 recruit Jabari Parker announced his decision to join Duke next season on Thursday, since then he's been harassed on Twitter by fans of the schools he passed over, and rival North Carolina's supporters, too. Parker chose the Blue Devils over Michigan State, BYU, Florida and Stanford. "I think I'm getting more tweets," Parker told ESPN Radio on Friday. "Fans are just now giving me a hard time. They sometimes just forget I'm a kid. Real hateful stuff. It's no problem, though. I know it comes with the territory, and it's just going to make me stronger." According to ESPN.com, one of the tweets Parker received was: "Ur a loser. Have fun not having a pro career after duke #dukesucks #UNC"

More proof that Twitter is for idiots.

Agree. Why bother a young man just because he did not choose your school. As far as I know he did not lie or mislead any of the schools.
While I am an LSU fan, I wish the young man the best.

Two of the examples from the other story were from UNC numnuts. Why is that considered news that a) UNC has some seriously brain-dead fans, and that b) they torture prospects that turn them down? ESPN is just generating news at this point, encouraging the jerks.

What's really surprising is that someone that age cares about Twitter

Here's hoping Coach K can convince this young man to play 4 years at Duke.

I read a similar article on ESPN.com. The only other people really tweeting r fans from around his way. All those particular tweeters are just **** looking 4 stuff 2do.

This is like the 27th Jabari Parker thread on FN in the last 2 weeks. Did this guy cure cancer or something? Did the mods double down on their Jabari Parker stock? WTF

December 22, 2012  07:36 PM ET

If the holiday season combined with the recent tragedy at Sandy Hook still leaves people with such shallow and hateful hearts, theres nothing on earth that can cure it. Sad state of affairs this nation finds itself in...

Hey, he figured that Coach K could teach him how to flop and how to step in front of players to try and draw charging fouls. And watch the Dookies turn on him when he leaves after one season. Won't be pretty

December 23, 2012  12:50 AM ET

He just wants to learn how to flop and step in front of players to draw charging fouls from the master, Coach K. Watch the Dookies turn on him when he leaves after one year!

Another pathetic attempt to disparage Duke by another loser whose favorite team can rarely compete with a team coached by The Master, Coach K.

UNC fans suffer from a systemic inferiority complex.
