09:59 AM ET 12.22 | The Mountain West and Boise State are having ongoing dialogue about the Broncos staying in the conference instead of leaving for the Big East in fall 2013, a source with direct knowledge of the situation told ESPN.com on Friday night. The source said the focus of the Mountain West is to lure the Broncos back in light of the Big East shakeup that has seen Louisville and Rutgers commit to leave the league for the ACC and the Big Ten, respectively, in 2014, and then the potential devaluing of the television deal with seven Catholic-based non-FBS schools announcing a split as late as June 30, 2015. Boise State could be forced to make a quick choice between the two conferences because the Mountain West and CBS have agreed to restructure their television deal, CBSSports.com reported Friday, citing anonymous sources.

IMO, Boise moving to the Big East, would be a step down. I just don't see any advanage of it!!!

But, it seems in these days, the important question we should all be asking.....what style will their uniforms be? Color matches? Designs..

Inquiring people want to know....

LOL, read your comment #2 on the "Oregon's Fiesta Bowl unis revealed" site!!! For a person who don't like the color of a team's uniforms, you sure seem to let your feelings out. You don't like Boise State unis do you??? Is it because it clashes with the Blue turf:-)

December 22, 2012  11:01 AM ET

The Big East is in total disarray and looks like it might implode. I see no upside to Boise State going there.

LOL....OK, OT, I'll break it down for you....you seem to fixate on a perceived idea that I don't like a certain team's colors or uniforms...

It is NOT that I don't like a teams colors or uniforms or that they seem to want to change them every 5 minutes...it IS the fact that we have news stories about them and we are discussing them.

This belongs on GQ or some other fashion site...

And, no, I don't particularly like BSU uniforms...nor do I dislike them....but then there are a bunch of uniforms that don't look good, but I'm not going to talk about them...the players seems to play just as well...but THAT is not the issue...the issue is why the hell are we talking about them?

Oh wait, I was talking about the "uniform" thread.

Default, I really agree with you, but most of us on FN talk about a variety of subjects, from a coach's wife and kids to what type of shoes a player wears. Also we discuss our personal lives, what type of jobs we have, how many kids we have. Hell sometimes we even talk about a football game that happened 10/15 year ago.

Me, personally, I like talking football.

Dr, I agree, but sometimes I'm guilty of going off on the beaten track. I like (or at least try) to keep my comments on the subject matter or I don't like to comment at all. :-)

Me too. I can yuck it up with the best, but I really miss the intense football discussions we used to have. Some of this is due to many posters who have left the site.

On FN, the CFB threads is where you (used to) find posters with football knowledge and a passion for discussing the game --- the NFL threads is where you find the clowns.

Agreed. The Big (L)east is so pathetic I'm waiting for them to go after HS football programs next!

Totally agree and I try to stay off of the NFL threads as much as possible.

This sounds like something I read a few weeks ago. How much more was BSU going to make in the BE? Enough to cover travel and make being in an AQ conf. with basically a new team worth while? It's probably better for them if BE fb dissolves.

+1. BSU, SDSU, SJSU, Fresno, Air Force, Nevada, and Utah State will make for a very solid group at the top of the MWC in 2013. Might even be able to add in BYU.

December 23, 2012  03:16 AM ET

Oh, and if SDSU stays in the MWC that, combined with the 7 BB schools that are leaving the BE will make the MWC almost even with the BE in BB. No upside to moving for SDSU and BSU now.
