Avery Johnson not worried about job security

11:07 AM ET 12.22 | This is what happens in New York when there is a slump, a slumping star and a bad loss to the crosstown rivals. Symbolic alarms sound. The general manager lectures the team. Deron Williams puts up extra shots before practice, greeting his team in a sweat. A new defense is installed. And, of course, there are questions about the coach's job security. Avery Johnson seemed to come prepared Friday, saying the criticism is fair but he's not concerning himself with the temperature of his seat. "Let me give some real rocket science right now," Johnson said in a lengthy, wide-ranging chat with reporters Friday. "Listen to this: at some point, after I signed on as a coach, when I signed on the dotted line, a couple of things are going to happen at some point: One, I'm going to get fired. Two, I'm going to resign. Three, I'm going to re-sign. One of those three things happens to every head coach in this league."
