Calvin Johnson passes Jerry Rice, first to 2,000 yards?

12:10 AM ET 12.23 | As we enter the final two weeks of the NFL season, three records are in danger of falling to current players hot on the tail of NFL legends. One of those records was broken on Saturday and it's likely going to be shattered in the final week of the year. Calvin Johnson eclipsed Jerry Rice's 1995 single season record of 1,848 yards on Saturday against the Falcons. But the journey is far from over for the man they call Megatron. While Johnson was chasing Rice's record, he is also trying to become the first NFL receiver to ever eclipse the 2,000 yard mark in a single season. WIth one game left to go in the season, at the very least Johnson will put some distance between himself and Rice, who is now in second place.

Exactly, new passing and receiving records are bound to be broken in this year and the coming years, because teams pass more than ever in history. When Jerry Rice played the 49ers passed approx. 30 times per game, while most teams nowadays throw approx. 45 times per game.

They will be back in the hunt next season they need to fill holes in the OL Secondary and find a mail carrying RB and get rid of the problem children okay maybe they'll be lucky to be respectable but when your +/- in turnovers goes from +20 to -25 you are not going to have a good year no matter how well the players perform
