Nick Swisher, Indians agree to four-year deal

10:19 PM ET 12.23 | Free agent outfielder Nick Swisher has found a new home. Reports have surfaced that Swisher has agreed to a four-year deal with the Cleveland Indians worth $56 million. The contract includes a fifth-year option worth $14 million. The 32-year-old has spent the previous four seasons with the New York Yankees. Swisher confirmed the news on his official Twitter account.

RBIs are a function of the lineup just as much as the hitter. Where's Swisher going to find 90 RBIs in that lineup?

This must be management's idea, albeit a bad one, of trying to stay relevant.

I like it. He seems like a good teammate and a Buckeye! We needed to fill Choo's spot so besides Hamilton, he was the best available.
