07:38 AM ET 12.24 | Rays manager Joe Maddon has what he considers to be his five stages of a major league player's mindset -- and how far Wil Myers progresses will have a good deal to say about when he arrives in the big leagues. By now we should all be familiar with Maddon's five stages of a major league player: 1. Happy to be here. 2. Trying to survive. 3. I belong here. 4. I want to make my money. 5. I want to win. "The stage one and stage two guys, you lose with those guys," Maddon said. Just don't expect Myers to begin moving toward stage five on April 2 when the season begins. ... "I've always felt that it should be easier for a young player to make the team season in progress as opposed to out of spring training," Maddon said.

And, by sending Myers to AAA, they turn back his arbitration clock a little longer.

the rays organization have been in progress in part thanks to their ability to know how to make business, this move would help them aside from this they still could add another top hitter like mark trumbo and why not??send hellickson and chris archer for trumbo and the rays team would look as competetive as blue jays or as the orioles,,

making that move would free up some extra cash,,, for the mean time the rays should explore around any positive trades,,,not they do needed but it won't hurt them either!!!

the rays next step would likely be?? trade for more prospects???because i doubtfull the franchise should trade for a major leaguer example granderson from the yanks,,

ever since the rays new GM took over in the front seat, the rays have gone climbing higher and higher, its takes a great efford and tremendous dedication and sacrifice as well,,by making the right moves when they are needed and not just any moves but most of the times are accurate moves,,,
