'Tis the season for Syracuse's Rakeem Christmas

When he played at the Academy of the New Church high school in Philadelphia, he wore No. 5. But in the McDonald's All American game, Christmas decided to pay homage to the holiday that bears his name. He switched to No. 25 and carried that numerical desire to Syracuse, where he now starts at forward. "Twenty-five," he said, "just looks good with Christmas." The Syracuse sophomore has endured all kinds of Christmas puns. Headline writers love to attach holiday phrases to stories about him. ... Christmas concedes that Christmas is his favorite holiday. He owns two Christmas hats and has worn a necklace that features a Santa-hatted Otto dangling from a chain.
