08:22 AM ET 12.25 | Step right up, Mitch McGary. McGary, a 6-foot-10, 260-pound Michigan freshman, was named the Big Ten's Freshman of the Week on Monday. With the honor, Michigan now has 5 weekly awards through the season's first 7 weeks -- more than any other team in the conference. McGary won the award after recording the first double-double of his career Thursday during a 93-54 win over Eastern Michigan. McGary recorded 10 points and 11 rebounds in 18 minutes of action. In addition, the freshman forward also notched a pair of assists to go along with three steals to help Michigan move to 12-0 on the year. Michigan State senior Derrick Nix won the Big Ten's Player of the Week.

The Wolverines are off to an exceptional start. But I'll wait to be convinced until that have been successful against some of the other B1G teams.

I predict you will be right there at the end in Indy battling for conf championship. Not convinced Indiana is all that. Watch out for IL and Minny. Sleepers this yr for sure.

I am with you. Michigan finally has some depth but still they are prone to slacking off at times and can possibly run into Freshman inexperience issues. Big 10 play will either show just how special this team is or expose them. But so far it's been a wonderful ride!

I agree. That old four letter word Duke is the hump they never seem to get over.
