All ESPN analysts are hacks and/or psychopaths (yes, Chris Berman, I'm talking to you).

Hodge hasn't liked Tebow since the day he was drafted. Don't know what caused the bad blood but it's there. He said Tebow was a phony when he didn't run the wildcat when it was Rex Ryan's decision. Hodge has let his personal agenda get in the way. Frankly, never liked Merrill Hodge.

The phrase is actually "**** as a two dollar bill," and dates from the days before "****" was slang for homosexual, and when two dollar bills were the counterfeiters favorite bill. Today the equivalent would have to be "phony as a fifty dollar bill," since $50's are the current favorite among counterfeiters. (It was the $20 for most of the last half-century, but in the last decade has switched to the $50 because $20's aren't worth enough any more.)

Anyway, Hodge doesn't know what he is talking about.

Actually, the saying was "three dollar bill" and the reason was there was no such thing, so if you found one it was definitely going to be "****".
