03:19 AM ET 12.26 | Revenge is a dish best served from the Pacific-Northwest. At least, that's how the saying in the Ray Edwards' household will go after the former Falcons and Vikings defensive end signs with his new team on Wednesday. Edwards is expected to sign with the Seattle Seahawks as soon as the middle of this week and could hit the field this Sunday against the St. Louis Rams. Edwards, who made a name for himself as a part of the tough "Shock and AWWE" defensive line for the 2009 Minnesota Vikings, was cut by the Falcons earlier this season after they deemed him unfit to play on their defense. Edwards cleared waivers and has yet to find a new home this season. The Seahawks are trying to change that, but are also playing this from an interesting angle as Edwards could provide inside information on the Falcons defense should the Seahawks meet them in the NFC Divisional Round.

They want him for his brain? That doesn't seem too likely. The conversation might go like this:
PC: What can you tell me about the Falcon defense?
Edwards: Nothin'--that's why they fired me.
PC: Ok, well consider yourself fired again.
