Mo Williams' injury force the Jazz to trade

03:25 AM ET 12.26 | The Jazz have never been a team to let a rumor leak, therefore if a rumor pops up you can most likely disregard the validity of the rumor. However, that being said, I personally think the Jazz should make a move earlier rather than later. The Jazz will definitely be a player in this year's trade talks, but up until recently the Jazz were thought to be listeners not the aggressors. So what's changed? Mo Williams got injured and is out indefinitely. Mo said himself that he fears the worst and that it reminds him of a prior injury where he had to get surgery. This is bad news for the Jazz even though they are 3-1 with Tinsley as the starter. If Mo has to get surgery or the Jazz think he will be out for a couple months, I highly doubt the Jazz will sit and wait. Two reasons for thinking this way: the first is that the Jazz have shown they want to win now instead of waiting a couple years to be really good by playing Al and Sap over Favors and Kanter. Favors needs to be in 30+ minutes a game (imagine Dwight Howard sitting behind Kelvin Cato or Tony Battie). Young players learn more by experience on the court than by sitting behind a veteran for three years.
