Return of Alex Smith?

08:03 AM ET 12.26 | If (when?) the 49ers find themselves up by a large margin Sunday against one of the NFL's worst teams in Arizona, might they get creative at quarterback? Does Jim Harbaugh leave Colin Kaepernick in to get more experience and risk injury in what at that point is garbage time against a frustrated opponent? Does he bring in Alex Smith to get some reps in case Colin gets hurt in the playoffs? What if defense and special teams have set up most of the scoring and Colin looks inconsistent? Any chance in garbage time he plays Scott Tolzien to avoid any Alex questions or issues? (I doubt that). Guessing we won't get anything close to an answer from Coach before Sunday and not sure anyone would ask the question.

How can Harbaugh answer a question if it's never asked?

It's CSN Bay Area's job to ask these questions of the HC, so ask him already!

Because Harbaugh's a total **** in interviews. I don't blame them.

The newspaper equivalent to the 2,000 word book review in school? "I liked the book very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very....."

What if CK looks terrible and the 49ers are in danger of losing the game? Does Smith get sent in to salvage the season?

CP looks to have a lot of physical talent but not much between the ears.
