Phoenix interested in Bulls' Hamilton

08:09 AM ET 12.26 | On Tuesday, Rip Hamilton went down again as a DNP, this one against the Rockets, and there is some question about whether he might be included in any moves the Bulls make at the trade deadline. The team holds an option to re-sign [Hamilton] next season, making him the equivalent of an expiring contract due to the low guaranteed money, and since the summer I've heard that they would be receptive to offers for him and have even dangled his name a bit. However, with his recent injury, that could be hard to pull off unless he makes an impressive return. ... Actually, I'm sure they could find a taker -- Phoenix, for one, is a team that I've heard has some interest -- but at this stage of his career, Hamilton and his representatives might not be open to playing for a non-contender.

He's also injured.........again :-( .
No one said that Rip isn't a good ballplayer; but this is the 5th season in a row where he's likely to miss about 1/2 of the season.
He's a bad investment.......hope the Bulls can pawn him off on Pheonix; maybe for a draft pick.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hamilton in PHX if even for the short term. Hell, I'd prefer seeing him to Michael Beasley at any point.

Nah.....if someone is willing to pay him several million dollars a season......to spend half (or more) of the season in street clothes on the bench, why should he retire?
