08:05 AM ET 12.26 | Earlier this week, Cardinals running back Beanie Wells said he fully expects his Arizona career to end after 2012. [Wells] said he will be using Sunday's season finale against the San Francisco 49ers to "audition for a job somewhere else." ... "That's my mind-set," Wells said, a day after he was benched following a fumble that was recovered and returned for a touchdown in Arizona's 28-13 loss to the Chicago Bears. "I'm just going to go out there and put my best foot forward for all the 31 other teams that's watching." Asked to confirm if he felt his days were numbered with the Cardinals, Wells replied: "Oh, without a doubt. It's inevitable." ... [Wells] has had an injury-plagued career in his first four NFL seasons.

D@Mn! Missed again.

Maybe if he played that way all season, he wouldn't need to audition for all the other teams now. Of course that assumes he also stayed healthy. Something he can't seem to do!

I'd keep him on the pine for the entire game after those comments.

I bet Fitz is regretting that contract extension about now. The future's so bright he has to wear night vision gear.

I'm sure many of those 31 other teams have already made their minds up about this dude... Unless he's including the AFL & CFL.

Yup, his best years were as a Buckeye. And even those weren't that great. Another Ron Dayne and soon to be Montee' Ball. Great college stats because of a monster O line but not good enough for the NFL.

There you go... Guys that don't know how to read blocking schemes don't last too long in the pros - do they?

It's refreshing when a player speaks out.

He had a history of being injured while at Ohio State as well. He was special when healthy... he could break tackles leading to some long TD runs. He's not been stellar in the NFL so far, of course he's been with Arizona where they haven't had a decent QB since Warner retired after the '09 season.

Hey now! There are plenty of failures at RB out there, no need to pick on mt Bears! Oh and you forgot Cedric Benson....

hilarious ... Beenie you suck , how many games have you actually played in since you came into the league ? and now you are basically spitting in your teammates faces by saying you are playing for yourself and money... my advice follow Fitz around everywhere he goes and take some pointers on how to be a man and a true professional .

I was thinking the same thing. Agreed that he has not been a great pro, he was a fantastic RB at tOSU.
