Biggest storyline of 2013

The Dodgers are going to learn a little something in 2013. That 650 million dollars is an enormous amount of money and that they'd still not win a W

World Series. If I had my choice between LA and any of the remaining teams I'd bet on one of the remaining teams winning the World Series.

To me the biggest storyline in 13 is the Rangers coming back to the pack in their division and the AL in general with no major free agent signings or blockbuster trades to improve their ball club.

I think the Angels and Dodgers both will struggle to make the playoffs. The Dodgers need a leadoff hitter, and still have journeymen at 2B and 3B. The Angels' rotation still looks a little less than stellar.

Money doesn't always fix problems. Ask the Yankees.

ESPN is a bit off the mark here, The 2013 Dodgers goal is to sign a good TV contract with Fox, to provide the funds for the next decade. They have made a good start on that.

They also need a nucleus of good players to carry them through the next 4 or 5 years, while they rebuild the farm system; they have done a good job with that, too.

Their spending is a bit of an eye-opener with regard to how much money the McCourts were pulling out of the franchise. I suspect they are spending part of the owners share as well as the players share, but still, it is a huge budget.

trade ethier and sign bourn is a complete none sense idea, trade ethier and get other players but for a much less cost!!!

the angels DO have a key player,,,,, and yes his name is not vernon wells, but trumbo should give the halos a top youing starters either from the rays franchise or,,, from the royals team,
and yes, the halos rotation remains a devastated rotation, should dipoto pull more than just another meaninless trade?? pitching its a most!!!

dodgers DO have worse case escenario though, they do have hefty contracts but matingly may be hitting the door IF the players do not play a full season!!

the halos and the dodgers were head to head in terms of bidding for top free agent, should the halos had signed greinke?? their rotation would still had been a little weak but not as weak as now,,

rangers/A's /astros/ mariners/ would be free from any tough pressure why?? because they were more like a expectators in the winter meetings and in the free market, while dodgers and halos still found a way to throw money away!!!

any time a franchise use their money unwisely that particular team should expect high risk in the poor performance from any big player contract? just saying though,,

both teams managers could find themselves in the thick of a biggest pressure, because both teams are expected to win big time but if both or either one fail?? trouble should arise from either division towards any of this two teams,,,

dodgers have plenty pitching, the halos are thin in pitching thanks to their erractic transactions with santana and dan haren!!!!

lets see,,WHO would win the most games by mid-season? or who would fall apart first?? angels do have great pressure at the front office, the dodgers are just about in the same limbo thing,,, my feeling is that sombody would lose their job and managers are in thin ground!!!in this situation ofcourse..
