08:20 AM ET 12.26 | The name of Alabama's 21st commitment for the 2013 class rings familiar. Hargrave Military Academy offensive tackle Brandon Hill has committed to Alabama, according to reports from multiple recruiting sites, after previously committing to Ole Miss in November. Hill originally signed with Alabama out of high school but has spent the last year at Hargrave, a prep school noted for its football program, after failing to academically qualify at UA. Hill's mother Erica Lee told BamaOnline that the 6-foot-6, 330-pound offensive tackle plans to enroll at Alabama in January. Hill is rated the nation's No. 1 prep school offensive tackle by 247Sports and is a consensus three-star prospect.

How can he fail to academically qualify at Alabama ? He shouldn't even be in college in the first place; it's not like Alabama is Harvard.

Saban must have been trolling Ole Miss with this one.

Wonder if it's a legitimate choice or if they teach spelling at HMA - they are pretty similar when you look at 'em, M-i-s-s-i-s-s-i-p-p-i vs A-l-a-b-a-m-a.

3 star OLs can be pretty misleading.
James Carpenter was a 2 star out of HS, ended up being a 1st round pick after 2009.
Chance Warmack was a 3 star. Gonna probably be a 1st round pick after this year.
All 3 star means is that they are not going to start the 1st and 2nd year most likely. But, yeah, he's probably not the #1 OL being recruited. Tunsil is probably considered a lot better.

Oh, and that's another thing Saban has about Junior college recruits. They almost have to be able to enroll in January for him to take one, so they can go through spring practice.

Most JC recruits do early enroll. If not they would only get one spring in the system.

Exactly what I was thinking when I read it. This is the same school that took Duron Carter, after Ohio State dismissed him twice for academic failures.
