02:49 PM ET 12.26 | The NFL salary cap in 2013 will be set at or just under $121 million, according to NFL Network. Here are the tentative franchise and transition tag figures for each position, in millions. Wouldn't have thought a defensive end was that valuable? Punters and kickers were about right.

The franchise tag number is based on the highest salaries at that position. So, when Buffalo made the mistake of giving a gazillion dollars to Mario Williams, it really skewed the numbers for defensive ends. Likewise, the Megatron deal jacked up the dollars for wide receivers. Megatron has at least done something for the money. Williams has been DOA in Buffalo.

Nice to see OL creeping up in value; they have been under-appreciated for a while. TE seems to be under-rated, but that may change when Gronk signs a contract.
