04:20 PM ET 12.26 | The Atlanta Falcons made a surprising move when they decided to part ways with veteran defensive end Ray Edwards. While Edwards has yet to find a new home, that could all change today. Edwards had a workout with the Seattle Seahawks on Monday and, according to Pro Football Talk, a decision on whether or not to sign Edwards will come today. If Seattle signs Edwards, it will add an interesting twist to a potential match up between Seattle and Atlanta in the postseason.

QUOTE(#2):

Why did Atlanta release him?

He didn't really handle the demotion to second string very well, and the coaches felt he was becoming a bit of a locker room cancer. For that reason I really hope the Hawks take a pass on the guy. The chemistry on this team is really good right now. Why mess it up?
