Cowboys playoff chase a mirage

Good points, but the fact is, if the Boys win, they're in. And if you get in, you deserve it.

That said, their playoff run would almost certainly be a brief one. But you never know. The Giants won it all last year after finishing 9-7 and sneaking in as a 6 seed.

The Cowboys' defense cannot keep up with RGIII.

Strange as it may seem, I see a Cowboys victory this weekend.

The Star-Telegram eh? I don't think I like their attitude.

Not a cowboys fan, but I agree. Jeesh, they played some good football this year. At times, very good.

Good point! Win your in, and a playoff victory is not impossible. Two or three? Highly unlikely.

The Cowboys are getting healthy, Romo looks pretty good of late and the Redskin defense gives up way too many yards. I think it will be a shootout this weekend.

Mac Engle is a complete buffoon. His continued employment relegates the Star-Telegram to New York Post status.

This weekend is almost like wildcard weekend with some of the games. I might actually change channels from the Red Zone and watch an actual game!

I don't see the "mirage" factor. They are in the hunt because if they win their next game they are in the playoffs--that isn't a mirage, it's a contest. They might lose, but there isn't any "mirage" about it.

It will take a miracle rivaling that of walking on water. But .... it's good somebody's optimistic.

One way or the other, it will be a great football game.

my exact thoughts..... hoping for a win, but with post season play on the line and playing in DC being one of the tough places to win.... plus you ad RG3 and i would not place my money on dallas if i was in vegas.

Agreed - the "Startlegram" got rid of the wrong Engel. His wife was the better sportswriter of the two, by a long shot.

True - and she was annoying as hell.

That step in quality down to him is steep.

I love it when making the playoffs is decided by two teams on the last day of the season.

You may be right. And as a Redskin fan I hope you are. But the 'Skins defense is a bit less than ordinary and I'd be surprised if they do much in the playoffs...assuming they get there. I'm already pleasantly surprised with their year. RGIII is great. Now, let's get some defense.
