08:18 AM ET 12.27 | One game-within-a-game as Oregon preps for the Fiesta Bowl comes from wondering whether Chip Kelly will answer The Question. So when Kelly, the subject of NFL rumors that he will be courted by several teams, made his first press conference appearance in Arizona at the team's hotel in Scottsdale on Wednesday, the second question was about the NFL. That and follow-up questions were prefaced with the objective of getting them out of the way now, although there's little doubt they will be revisited during the multitude of media sessions scheduled between now and kickoff at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Scottsdale, Ariz. Kelly didn't confirm or deny having contact with NFL teams, which is telling in itself.

Why is he obligated to answer a stupid question, he has done nothing to show them he wants to leave. They do this every year, how is it his fault.

It doesn't matter if he answers the question or not...

If he denies it to appease the boosters and his current AD then leaves he is a troll...

If he says he is considering it, then he cuts off his own hands at the wrists in the future...

No win situation....

He'll be asked ove and over. They'll keep adsking basically questions like this over and over, "Why ca't you just say, 'I'll not be coaching in the NFL next year'".

If he answers wrongly, they'll be butthurt for years over it.

It's like me, I am such a stud everywhere the Wife and I go, the women all flirt with me and just will not leave me alone. Should I have to answer any questions to my Lady for the behavior of others!!!

I do dream a lot.

Why does he need to answer this question before the bowl game? It appears to me he is doing this the right way right now. It would be nice to see him stick around for the sanctions UO will most likely receive this year though.

WOW, those dreams you are having, are they induced by medication or just way too much late night cinemax?

He's going to the NFL and you can take that to the bank.

What kind of percentage rate would I get for that at the bank?

You must have been in the Andes sometime last year. He was pretty damn close to coaching the buccaneers. Hence, all the speculation now.

Too much money.

Plus let's say he flames out in the pros, he'd have college teams lined up on his front porch with his track record at Oregon.

It's a no brainer.
