11:10 AM ET 12.27 | New regulations passed by the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Authority, the regulatory body that oversees the sport of MMA in the state, has caused a drop in the number of MMA events in the state. Specifically, amateur fighters would be required to have annual blood screenings and fights must take place in a cage, not a ring. Of Kentucky's 766 licensed fights, almost 84 percent were amateur. There were 91 events in 2009, 82 events in 2011, but only 54 events in 2012.

You don't think that a decline in club and amateur fights isn't a important to the health of the sport? Of course not you can't even spell the word "and" correctly.
