12:29 PM ET 12.27 | The New York Jets apparently saw enough of Greg McElroy in his Week 16 start against the San Diego Chargers, as Rex Ryan announced Thursday that his team would start Mark Sanchez in the team's season finale against the Buffalo Bills. Sanchez disappointed for most of the year after starting the team's first 14 games, completing only 55 percent of his passes while throwing 17 picks against only 13 touchdowns. McElroy only had two opportunities to show his worth -- a game against the Arizona Cardinals, where he led the team on their only touchdown drive after Sanchez was ineffective in a 7-6 win, and Sunday, when he went 14-for-24 with an interception -- but the team apparently decided to stick with Sanchez instead of the 2011 seventh-round pick.

I am no longer a Jets fan. What Rex, Tannebuam have done to this team is disgusting. It looks like they read the Matt Millen book on how to run a successful football team. I am not even going to get into the Tebow drama. Rex is a horrible coach, and has lost control of this team. The season is lost play Tebow. If you win so be it you just enhanced his trade value. Do not give me the nonsense talk about evaluating your talent. That's garbage you have had the whole first half of the year to evaluate Mark. Either way the one person who is really going to get screwed out of all this debacle is Matt Barcley. Think about it Palmer, Cassel, and Sanchez, if I was a blue chip qb I would not go to USC.
