Could Jim Mora be next head coach of Chargers?

10:37 PM ET 12.27 | Jim Mora Jr. had a rough go of things with the Falcons in the long run, and was ultimately pushed out of the Atlanta after saying he'd take a college job if it was offered to him. After a 5-11 season with the Seahawks, Mora went to the college ranks to try and rebuild his name and reputation. He did just that during his first season as head coach at UCLA. But will Mora split for the NFL after just one year with the Bruins, and better yet, will an NFL team want to give him a job after a not so successful career in the pros? In Mora's four NFL seasons, he's posted a record of 31-33 with one playoff appearance and one season in which his team finished above third place.

Yeah...that would be a bad move. They only get so many do overs and this would probably be his last at the head coach level. Be a tough culture to change quickly.

Yep. Just because he could take another crack at coaching in the NFL doesn't mean he should.

Any NFL team that hires this weasel deserves exactly what they get. He's Lane Kiffin Lite.

It's the ego thing. Coaches want to prove that they can be successful at any level, especially the top level - the NFL.

The Chargers will have a new coach, and unlike most crappy teams, the Chargers have a quality QB to build around. Someone has a chance to turn it around quickly.

I've been to the campus, Jim, and you would be crazy to leave. You are only a couple of miles away from Beverly Hills, and the campus girls are HOT! The NFL has a short shelf life, so stay at UCLA.
