04:01 PM ET 12.28 | Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen announced Friday that second-year quarterbackTerrelle Pryor will start Sunday's season finale against the San Diego Chargers, according to the Raiders. Pryor had been splitting first-team reps with Matt Leinart all week with Carson Palmer (cracked ribs/bruised lung) ruled out well in advance. Apparently Allen liked what he saw though as Pryor is now expected to make his first NFL start.

I'm glad the kid gets a shot.

Hope they keep him in the entire game, regardless of how he plays. He deserves the additional time since they'll be using this game to determine his future with the team.

Hope he does well.

They might as well see what he can do. It's not like Leinart is going o show them anything.

Leinart doesn't even deserve the start. He admitted after the game that he wasn't prepared to go in last week. How the hell are you a #2 QB and you aren't prepared to play? I would bet that Pryor was more ready having reps with the 3rd string.

Yep. Most of us believe QB is a position of need for the Raiders. Might as well see how much of a need.
