10:45 PM ET 12.28 | It has been a tough year for Jets coach Rex Ryan. For the first time in four seasons, the Jets have had multiple games with zero in terms of playoff implications. Obviously, coach Ryan is not used to this. What did he learn about himself as a coach this year? "Well, I guess the big thing, I obviously never expected this type of season. There's no doubt about that. But I guess, the consistency and all that type of stuff, those are things that you're always shooting for and the frustrating thing to me is that I think that's kind of what we've been lacking." Ryan has been beyond a disappointment this season, but it's looking like he'll have one more season to right the ship.

I don't know if he's learned his lesson but he has certainly been schooled.

as loud and obnoxious he can be I really don't think he's the problem they need a talent evaluator not a capologist as GM his issue is mainly getting the locker room on the same page and they need an offensive identity they used to be a smash mouth offense where they expected their QB to be a game manager now that their running game went south they haven't got the personnel to run a west coast/wildcat/whatever you want to call it they have a pretty good D with Revis very good **** I'm rambling time to call it a night

Good points. Why they committed so many years and dollars to Sanchez is mind boggling ??

When that was going on they thought giving Sanchez the big contract would make him more motivated and he'd become an "elite" QB. Never happened.

I think everybody else kinda saw it coming Rex!!

Wow. After three seasons, one would think they'd have a pretty good idea of whether their QB was motivated or not.

I think once the name "Tebow" entered the mix, everyone had a pretty good idea of what the season would be like.

Tebow should have seen that coming a mile away. Not sure what he was thinking. He needed a low key team where he could learn the position in the NFL, not become media bait. He's all but trashed his career.

Very true. Bad move on his part....he allowed himself to become more circus side show than NFL QB. Might not recover from that.
